The Pyramids of Giza
The Pyramids of Giza are the most famous monument of the Ancient Egypt. The necropolis placed in the outskirts of Cairo, has three pyramids: Keops, Kefrén and Micerino.
It sentences the saying of that the man is afraid to the time, but the time is afraid of the pyramids.
Three pyramids were constructed in the fourth dynasty, approximately it does more than four milleniums. Although in Egypt there are about hundred pyramids, those of Giza are those who enjoy major prestige. The Big Pyramid of Keops (known also like Khufu pyramid) is the biggest of all, being the highest building of the world until the XIXth century. It has a height of approximately 145 meters high and it is the only one of seven ancient marvels that has survived and has kept on preserving this title.
What it converts to the Big Pyramid of Keops into the whole architectural achievement is the fact that each of the stones that form it weighs more than two tons. The construction of the pyramids is a topic that always causes curiosity and raises unknowns. The modern experts believe that some type of available technology would be used in that moment, but the concrete mechanism is not known.
