Documents and visas in Egypt

Here we give you the information about passports and visas that you will need to be able to enter Egypt.

Passports and visas: Normally, the visitors must have valid passports at least for six months after the date of entry to the country. Almost all the Europeans, the nuevazelandeses, the North Americans and the Australians must have also the tourist's visa. The cost of the visa changes according to the nationality. Several consulates provide the visa in the same day, and others need several days to complete formalities. The visitors' visas are for stays of at least one month. The multivisas allow only three visits to Egypt within this period.

Precautions: It is very advisable, once in Egypt, always to take the passport above. You will need it to register in the hotels, to change money, to gather mail and, possibly, to show it in the checkpoints of the police.

Who needs visa? There can be needed a tourist's visa or a student's visa, depending on the year of schooling and of the nationality. Normally, the tourist's visas can be obtained once it has gone over to Egypt, for the citizens of most of countries (it is very advisable to consult the special cases with the corresponding consulate). Nevertheless, several citizens of the following countries will need to have a visa previous at its arrival: Afghanistan, Azerbayán, Bangladesh, Croatia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Pakistan, Palestine, the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Thailand, Ukraine and all the African countries.

The required documents are:

- Passport (with at least six months of validity).

- A photo of recent card.

- The refilled request.

- A copy of the tickets of plane.
