Bawiti
Bawiti is a city placed in the center of Egypt, the biggest establishment of the Oasis Bahariya, with about 30.000 inhabitants.
At present, the center of the city is modern, while the ancient housings preserve the outskirts still. Recently, the city has put itself in the point of view due to the discovery of a big necropolis - probably the biggest - of mummies of the age grecorromana.
Bawiti lodges a picturesque nucleus of ancient houses in a luxurious place full of palm trees. In this city, you can visit also the Museum of History of the Oases. There you will find exhibitions of clothes and typical jewels, as well as figures of clay realizing some proper activities of the life in an oasis.
